It's All Over- Adam: "We look it as somebody's talking to somebody else, noticing that they're in a bad place, and wanting to help. I guess being on the outside looking in at somebody that's in a serious rut, trying to help them and telling them what you see from the outside."
Animal I Have Become- Adam: "Animal I Have Become is about a dark side that you've got, that i think everybody's got, that doesn't always come out, but when it does you feel like you're not sure how to control it, and that song is about asking for help."
Never Too Late- Adam: "Never Too Late, for me, is one of the most personal songs on the record. It was written when I was going through a fairly rough patch. There was people around me that were going through pretty hard times as well. The song was written about just feeling like you want to give up on life basically, and really just not giving up."
Get Out Alive- Adam: "I think when we wrote that song, we wanted to write something that had a bit of a story to it, and kind of felt like somebody that's been through and awful lot trying to help out somebody that feels like their about to go through a lot. So that song is trying to give advice I think in a way."
Time Of Dying- Adam: "Time Of Dying is just about being on your last legs and just telling the person that's been there for so many years that you need them around in a situation like that."
One-X- Adam: "Most of the record is about sort of about feeling alone, trying to get over certain hurdles and trying to get through certain parts of your life and the last song and title track One-X is, we really wanted to write a song that had a little bit of hope, and sort of talked about how you do feel alone but you're not the only one that feels alone, and we're all sort of together in this."
